Skinwalkers have the ability to shapeshift from human to animal. The most common types of animals they turn into are coyotes, wolves, foxes or bears but they also take the form of other animals. Skin walkers also have numerous other abilities such as supernatural speed, mind control, cursing and increased strength
Locations
Skinwalkers are normally located in the Four Corners region of America, mainly in part of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado, specifically in the Navajo Nation.
Staying Safe
Whistling at night is said to attract skinwalkers so reframing from whistling will reduce attracting one to you. Shining a light in an animal's eyes and if they are red, they are a skinwalker in their shapeshifted form. If any unnatural behavior is present in an animal, it is likely a skinwalker. Hearing animal voices trying to mimic humans' voices are also signs to be wary of.
